‘Final Fantasy Tactics: the War of the Lions’ to be released on the iPhone this summer
It’s been well over two years since Final Fantasy Tactics: the War of the Lions came out for the PSP 2000 slim console, but that hasn’t stopped fans from anticipating yet another release of the classic j-rpg/strategy game hybrid.
Originally announced at E3 2010, Final Fantasy Tactics: the War of the Lions has finally received a proper release date for the iPhone/iPad. Set for release sometime between June and July, the game weaves an intricate tale about the country of Ivalice that has just begun to recover from the Fifty Year War against Ordalia. It’s a fantastic Shakespearean-inspired tale filled with friendships and betrayals that is filled with plenty of fun cameos from other Square Enix games such as Cloud and Balthier from the Final Fantasy series.
From the provided screenshots on the game’s official Facebook page, all of the elements from the PSP port appear to have made it intact for the mobile port and will also feature 1024x768px HD resolutions for the iPad version.
