With e3 2011 right around the corner, video game news have been popping up across various media outlets regarding plans of developers and publishers across the Internet. Since Nintendo first confirmed that they are working on their next hi-def console, gamers everywhere have been eagerly anticipating the Big N’s official press conference on June 7th at 9 am. Microsoft who debuted the Xbox 360 250gb slim at e3 last year, will hold a press conference on June 6 at 10:00 am while Sony will host theirs the same day at 5:00 with a special record-breaking 5-hour event.

Other announcements include:

  • Although Konami was relatively quiet last year, this week’s Famitsu has confirmed that Konami will be sharing plans for existing franchises and brand new projects. They will be holding a pre-e3 show on June 2.
  • Team Ninja/Tecmo Koei has announced that they will be providing more details on a game that already has a teaser trailer (most likely Ninja Gaiden 3) and perhaps any future projects for the NGP, 3DS and Project Cafe.
  • Sega will be detailing a number of games including Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Rise of Nightmares in addition to future titles.
  • Capcom has recently stated that they are not planning any shocking announcements for E3, as most of their announcements were made at their Captivate event back in April. Expect more details on Dragon’s Dogma, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.
  • Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Namco Bandai and Bethesda have listed secrets or surprises for the upcoming show. EA and Ubisoft will also have a press conference on the 15th with Namco Bandai on the 16th.
