Last month, Japanese video game develop Konami announced a brand-new PSP title from Nudemaker, Terror of the Stratus, that should give SJRPG lovers plenty of incentive to finally take their PSP 3000s out of their carrying case.

Although not much has been revealed yet at this time, including whether or not it will ever see a release in the U.S., the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has provided gamers with an update on the story. Set in Imperial Tokyo in the year 2058, humanity is approaching extinction following an invasion by the Meme- no pun intended.

The Meme don’t have a physical form as they’re just pieces of information that suck up people and convert them into Memes.

Three members of the anti-Meme task form called “Imperial Task Force 6” have been revealed: Misogi, the daughter of the Takanosu royal family, Seishiro, a survivor of a Meme attack, and Takumi, Misog’s childhood friend. The members of “Imperial Task Force 6” pilot mechas called Arabaki that are controlled by the pilots via nerve connections.

Other details on the gameplay, including its genre, are currently under-wraps.
