Ninja Gaiden 3 is currently about 30% complete and due for 2012 release

According to the popular Japanese video game magazine Famitsu, Tecmo Koei’s upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3 is about 30% complete and is currently due out for a 2012 release on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Revolving around the same “Japanese Dark Hero” from the previous line of games, producer Yousuke Hayashi has told the video game magazine that Ryu Hayabusa’s right arm will play a central role in the story and the player will gain various power-ups and abilities, such as a wall climb and slide, along the way.
Ninja Gaiden 3 will be the second title in Tecmo Koei’s flagship series made without the help of former series producer Tomonobu Itagaki and will feature competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes like the PlayStation 3 release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Xbox 360 and PlayStation slim owners will be able to get a much closer look at the title at next week’s E3.
