Only in Japan: Konami developing Nura Rise of the Yokai Clan fighting game
Based off of the Japanese manga title and anime series, Konami recently unveiled a product page for their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 fighter Nura Rise of the Yokai Clan.
Originating in 2007 as a manga from Hiroshi Shiibashi and Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, the story revolves around Rikuo Nura, who is part human and quarter demon (unlike Inuyasha who is half human and half demon), as he takes up the position as the head master of the Nura house. Multiple factions aim to rebel against him and so he gathers friends and allies to face them.
The game is a team-based fighter along the lines of the Capcom versus series and features over 100 demons. You make use of your fighters’ “Osore” which are a number of skills that the demons use. The game will support four player cooperative and competitive online play, as well as an original story mode for single players.
The game is due for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 17, priced at ¥6,980 making it the perfect excuse to bust out your Xbox 360 wireless headset if you own a Japanese 360.
