Portal-transporting first-person shooter “Prey” will be receiving a sequel when news came from Rockville, Md.-based Bethesda Softworks on Monday confirming it is publishing “Prey 2” — set for a 2012 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Microsoft announced today that a public beta for developer Epic Games’ third-person shooter “Gears of War 3” for Xbox 360 will begin on April 25. Less than a month after Sony announced its next handheld game console, codenamed the “Next Generation Portable” (NGP), the corporation will slash the price of its current-generation PlayStation Portable.
